Throughout their time at Alta Loma Middle School, Kelly Duncan has demonstrated exceptional qualities that make them an outstanding candidate for this prestigious award. As a teacher leader, Kelly Duncan has always gone above and beyond to support her colleagues, providing valuable observations, sharing effective teaching tools, and fostering a collaborative environment among the faculty.

Her genuine care for her students has created a warm and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported. Kelly’s ability to connect with their students on a personal level has allowed them to bring out the best in each individual, ensuring that all students find success in her class. I could give you countless details about students who were disengaged with learning and made a connection with Ms. Kelly Duncan. She created a bond that was lasting and changed students views of school, life and future. She is amazing. I have never met a student she could not inspire.

In addition to their exceptional teaching skills, Kelly Duncan has also brought numerous opportunities for students to showcase their talents in drama. Their dedication to the arts has not only enriched the school's cultural fabric but has also provided an outlet for students to express themselves and develop their creative abilities.

One of Kelly’s most notable achievements is their advocacy for a schedule that better aligns with the unique needs of the middle school brain. Recognizing the importance of a balanced and developmentally appropriate schedule,Kelly tirelessly worked with the administration and fellow teachers to implement changes that would optimize learning outcomes for our students. Her ability to lead and inspire change is a testament to her exceptional leadership skills and her unwavering commitment to the well-being of our students.

In summary, Kelly is an exceptional individual who has made a profound impact on our school community.
